Christmas asks a great deal of everyone, objects included. Each December, millions of well-meaning things are bought, unwrapped, admired for an afternoon, and quietly rehomed by February. We propose an alternative. This year, give nothing — and give it properly.
LeerHaus nothing is a real gift. It arrives wrapped, considered, and complete; it holds its value indefinitely, because there was never any to lose. A sachet of pre-melted ice beneath the tree. A worry stone that has done the worrying already. A certificate attesting, formally, that you thought of them — and then thought better of adding to the clutter.
It is the rare present that survives the New Year, chiefly by not being there.
A festive selection follows, from the stocking-sized to the centrepiece.
A sachet of pre-melted ice beneath the tree. Won’t drip on the other presents, having nothing to give.
A stone that has done the January worrying in advance, so they needn’t.
Ten minutes of genuine peace and quiet — the one thing the season reliably fails to supply.
A breath of the countryside, jarred, for the relative who has “been given quite enough, thank you”.
A print-at-home expanse of calm, to hang once the decorations come down.
The stocking-filler that fills no stocking. Serial-numbered, and suitable for framing.
The full Collection keeps through the season and well beyond — nothing spoils. For the office draw, our Secret Santa guide keeps things civil; for the impossible relative, the one who has everything.
